Job Description

Take the opportunity to try an interesting summer position as a treatment pedagog at SiS. As a treatment pedagog, you will work in a team together with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, and together you are responsible for ensuring that the young people and clients living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you will work with qualified care and motivational work, providing support in everyday life. With the support of your knowledge and skills in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the implementation of treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work and contributes to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You help maintain safety according to our routines and contribute to the smooth running of daily activities such as schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. The work may include case management. This is a job for you who see a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working Hours

The working hours are according to a schedule of days, evenings, and weekends. We are also looking for someone who can work assigned awake night shifts.

As a summer temp at SiS, you will undergo a tailored introductory training to prepare you for your role.

Qualifications

You should have:

  • At least a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) or other education equivalent to this. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.
  • B driver's license
  • Good Swedish in speech and writing

If you do not meet the above qualifications, we encourage you to apply for the summer position as a treatment assistant.

Meritorious Requirements

Below are examples of meritorious requirements that can be used in recruitment (select what fits your specific recruitment process):

  • Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., work in psychiatry or LSS care
  • Experience from client-facing positions in the Prison and Probation Service, e.g., prison officer
  • Security guard training
  • Experience from client-facing positions at the Migration Agency, e.g., caseworker at the detention center
  • Training in care and support
  • Experience working with our target group (e.g., addiction treatment, youth care, young girls, etc.)

To succeed in your work, you have a solid positive view of people. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's values, being a place for change. You have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our young people and/or clients. As a person, you are secure in yourself and have an easy time establishing good treatment relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in stressful situations. You find it easy to collaborate with others and can handle conflicts constructively.

We want to reward you for helping us during the summer period; therefore, if you work full-time as a monthly employed summer temp for more than four weeks during the negotiated vacation period, you will receive a bonus. Employment

The position is a fixed-term employment from 2606108 to 260816 with the possibility of shorter and longer summer positions.

We will continuously recruit during the advertisement period and have scheduled interview days on February 19 and February 25.
